Mochi is one of the most favored of recent trending meals in the world. It’s easy, it is fast, it tastes delicious. It’s enjoyed by millions every day. Mochi is something that I’ve loved my entire life. They are fine and they look fantastic.

Mochi (Japanese: 餅, もち) is Japanese rice cake made of mochigome, a short-grain japonica glutinous rice, and sometimes other ingredients such as water, sugar, and cornstarch. The rice is pounded into paste and molded into the desired shape. In Japan it is traditionally made in a ceremony called mochitsuki. Mix sweet rice flour and green tea powder thoroughly in a microwave-safe glass or ceramic bowl.

To begin with this recipe, we must first prepare a few ingredients. You can cook mochi using 3 ingredients and 9 steps. Here is how you can achieve it.

The ingredients needed to make Mochi:
  1. Make ready 2 cups Water
  2. Prepare 2 cups Mochiko
  3. Take 1 cup Sugar

While the mochi is still warm, start kneading. To knead: Stretch and flatten the dough inside the bag with the palm of your hand, then pick up the bag at one corner, shake it so that it rolls into a ball again, then repeat. You can also knead it by placing the mochi into a greased bowl, and knead it as you would a normal dough. It is made with a sweet, glutinous rice flour and often additional ingredients like cornstarch, water, and sugar (sometimes powdered sugar).

Steps to make Mochi:
  1. Sift sweet rice flour (Mochiko) into a bowl.
  2. Mix in the sugar, then the water.
  3. If you wish to add food coloring, do so now.
  4. Steam mixture in a steamer or microwave.
  5. In steamer: Pour mixture into an oiled bowl. Steam for about 45 minutes until dough is gummy.
  6. In microwave: Pour mixture into an oiled bowl and cover. Microwave for 15 minutes.
  7. Once dough is ready, dust a board and your hands with the extra sweet rice flour and knead the dough until it has a smooth texture.
  8. Shape the dough into individual balls for use or flatten the balls and use them to cover a filling, if you like.
  9. I used raspberries in mine but you can use what you wish.

You can also knead it by placing the mochi into a greased bowl, and knead it as you would a normal dough. It is made with a sweet, glutinous rice flour and often additional ingredients like cornstarch, water, and sugar (sometimes powdered sugar). When this mixture is heated and cooked, it forms a sticky dough. Mochi, pronounced [Mo-CHI] is an irresistible treat that can be used in many ways, whether it's Strawberry Daifuku Mochi, Mochi ice cream, etc. Mochi is a Japanese rice cake that is made from mochigome (aka Glutinous rice) which is most of the time sweet.
