Instructions to make 'Taiyaki':
- Whisk all ingredients in a mixing bowl until well combined. If you have a pancake batter dispenser, it would be very handy. I use a plastic jag. Pouring the batter using a ladle would be tricky.
- Warm the ‘Taiyaki’ pan and oil the fish-shaped moulds.
- Pour the pancake batter into the moulds slightly less then full amount, place the filling, pour the pancake batter over the filling, then close the moulds.
- Cook on both sides until golden brown.
Pour additional mixed ingredients on Azuki filling the Taiyaki-ki. Taiyaki (鯛焼き) a fish-shape cake/snack filled with azuki sweet red bean paste. During the street fair and festivals, you'll see it being cooked on a fish-shaped iron mold.
