  1. Get 60-80 gm Dry Corn Kernels
  2. Make ready 1 tsp Salt or to taste
  3. Take 2-3 tsp Butter
  4. Get 1/2 tsp Oil

Steps to make Salted popcorn recipe: Make sure to buy popcorn kernels and not normal corn kernels. Take a thick bottomed pan with lid, I used my sauce pan. Swirl the pan so that oil is evenly distributed. Pour the popped popcorn into a large serving bowl.

Instructions to make Salted Butter Popcorn:
  1. Heat Oil and Butter in a heavy bottomed vessel. Add Salt according to your preference. Keep the heat on a medium high.
  2. Add Dry Corn Kernels. Give it a stir. As soon as the popping starts, cover it up with a lid. Reduce the heat to a low. In between give it a good shake for everything to get mixed well and also to get cooked evenly. You can also add Turmeric powder if desired. I didn't add it.
  3. After the sound starts fading away, take it off the heat. Wait for a minute before opening the lid. Carefully remove them onto a wide plate and enjoy. Serve immediately with some extra sprinkle of Salt if desired.

Swirl the pan so that oil is evenly distributed. Pour the popped popcorn into a large serving bowl. Bring the mixture to a boil. Pop the popcorn using whatever method you prefer (I use an air popper, but the stovetop works great, too). In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
