DIRECTIONS Melt together margarine, peanut butter and honey. Add oatmeal and toss to coat completely. Combine the oats, flour, walnuts, yeast, salt, milk powder, and coconut in a large mixing bowl; set aside. Stir the sugar, water, canola oil, and peanut butter together in a small saucepan over low heat until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture is hot and smooth.

  1. Get 120 g oats
  2. Get 95 g peanut or other nut butter
  3. Take 3 tablespoons oil
  4. Prepare 2/3 teaspoon salt
  5. Prepare 50 ml syrup e.g. honey, agave or maple
  6. Make ready 2/3 teaspoon cinnamon
  7. Take 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  8. Take 70 g chopped nuts - I used almonds but any would work

Transfer the peanut butter granola mixture to a greased baking sheet and press it onto the pan (see bottom right photo below). This peanut butter granola is perfect to enjoy for breakfast, as a snack or even on top of your favorite frozen desserts! Enjoying freshly baked granola in the morning is a sensation, unlike any other. From the taste to the smell, it's pure sensory bliss.

Steps to make Peanut butter granola:
  1. Preheat your oven to 160C and get out a baking tray
  2. Chop your nuts and mix them with the oats in a large mixing bowl
  3. Measure out the peanut butter and mix with the syrup, salt, vanilla (if used) and cinnamon. Heat this mixture in the microwave for 20 seconds to help combine.
  4. Pour the peanut butter mixture into the oat and nut mix and stir through so everything is coated. If it looks too liquid, add some more oats.
  5. When everything is coated in the peanut mixture, transfer to the baking tray and spread evenly
  6. Bake in the oven for 10mins and then flip the mix so the bottom comes to the top
  7. Bake for another 10mins or until everything is browned (but not burnt!). Leave to cool.
  8. Once cooled, serve in a bowl with your choice of milk, fruits and seeds. Here I have sunflower seeds and dried cranberries.
